Lara Vs. Croft Manor – A 20 Year Celebration.

The Rise of the Tomb Raider’s 20th anniversary has gone live! It’s available in multiple forms. You can buy the 20th Anniversary edition, you can be a Season Pass holder, or you can buy it individually. Not only does it include skins from previous Tomb Raider titles, but it includes new Co-op modes, a new “Lara’s Nightmare” mode, as well as a single-player story that takes place after the events of the primary game.

The single player story takes place in Croft Manor, and instead of combat, it’s focus is on Lara re-discovering her family home and trying to save it from falling into the hands of her uncle. Lara will rediscover her childhood, remember her father and mother, and even learn of secrets hidden away in the bowels of the manor.

Lara’s Nightmare takes place in the manor as well, and is similar to the Cold Darkness Awakened game mode, in which Lara fights infected in her nightmare inside the manor.

On top of all of this, if you play any version of Rise of the Tomb Raider by the 18th of October, you’ll be able to go to the in-game marketplace, head over to “Gifts” and get 100,000 in-game credits, just for playing during the 20th Anniversary Celebration week!

So dust off your copies, grab a friend and take on Rise of the Tomb Raider’s game modes together!

The (new) Xbox One! (Updated)

Update at the bottom

Alright, here it is. All of you may remember the Xbox One (hereafter referred to as Xbone) and their, shall we say, rather questionable policies? Primarily those relating to the DRM (Digital Rights Management) Policies.

Once upon a time they said you couldn’t share games with ANYBODY. (REDACTED). Then they said you can only share games with UP TO TEN people. (REDACTED). You can now have 10 people on your Home Xbone console as your “family” This means, these 10 people, gain access to your Gold membership benefits, including but not limited to; Netflix, Twitch Broadcasting and the ever so popular, cream of the crop, Online Multiplayer! That’s right! up to TEN people can be part of you Xbox Family and have access to Gold features, meaning, you only need 1 gold membership for every 10 people. Pure awesome!

Second, If you download a game on your home console, you can log in on a friend’s Xbone (via the same usual transfer standards) then, using your gamertag, download that game on your friend’s console for free (since you already own it) and play they entire game on your friend’s console, and they will have full access to it. Once you go home and log back in to your home console, your friend will then have to purchase to keep playing, but will retain all save data. This is also pretty freakin’ cool.

Also, the Kinect can be turned off if you don’t want it on, or simply unplugged. They “Always On” turned a LOT of people off. They don’t want to be watched or listened to, understandable. I was one of those people. Then I tried it out. I walk in the door after work, say, “Xbox, on.” and poof, it knows to turn on, I look at the Kinect for 2 seconds and it signs me in and goes to my dashboard. My fiance is also signed in, She picks up the controller I was using and hits the guide button, it goes to HER dashboard. I take the controller back, it’s MY dashboard.
The downside is this eliminates helping player 2 through a tough spot, unless you unplug/turn off the Kinect. It’s super handy if your like us and switch between games a lot when somebody else wants a turn.
As you can see, they redacted everything bad that was put out. That being said, they caught up with PS4 sales last month. They are now neck and neck for sales 6 months after launch.

The games I currently have that I will talk about include; Peggle 2, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, LEGO The Hobbit, Kinect Sports Rivals, Zoo Tycoon, Ryse: Son of Rome, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition and Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare.
I have many more pre-ordered that I will talk about along the way and as they get played.

Please note, some games mentioned above will be combined into 1 post.

*UPDATE* Some of the information above is actually incorrect. The stats of the PS4 vs. the Xbone are no longer equal in sales. Those figures were from March (I keep forgetting it’s no longer April). Sorry about that everybody!
